How to delay your period

How to delay your period

In life, we often hear some girls ask how to delay their menstruation for a few days, especially when preparing for an exam or needing to do something more serious. Many people have this idea, but in life we do not advocate delaying menstruation, because it violates a physiological principle, and it will also have adverse effects on physical health. However, there are still ways to delay menstruation. Let's learn about it below.

Although delaying menstruation is not good for your health, if you really want to delay menstruation, you can achieve your goal through some methods. Now let’s take a look at the specific methods that can help women delay menstruation.

(1) Methods for inducing early menstruation: Starting from the 16th day of menstruation, intramuscular injection of progesterone 20 mg or oral administration of medroxyprogesterone 10-12 mg daily for 5 days, and menstruation will occur 3-7 days after stopping the medication;

(2) Methods for delaying the onset of menstruation: ① Contraceptive pill No. 1 (norethindrone) or No. 2 short-acting oral contraceptive pills, starting from the fifth day of menstruation, 2 pills a day for 2 weeks, and increasing to 4 pills a day from the third week;

② Oral progestogens such as Fukang Tablets (norethisterone) or Funing Tablets (megestrol), 10 mg daily starting from the 16th day of menstruation;

③ Mifepristone is a non-hormonal drug. It is taken orally at a rate of 25 mg per day starting from the 5th day of menstruation.

Please remember that the above methods ①, ②, and ③ must be taken continuously until the "critical period" is passed and then discontinued. Generally, menstruation will occur within 7 days after stopping the medication. It is worth noting that the abnormal use of sex hormones may disrupt future menstrual cycles. Therefore, these methods should not be used for a long time, let alone abused. If menstrual disorders occur, please seek treatment from a gynecologist in time.

The above is an introduction to delaying menstruation. From these introductions, we can find that in many cases, menstruation is delayed by regulating and controlling it through some drugs, but this is definitely based on people whose menstruation is relatively regular. If the menstruation is irregular, then there will be no effect.
