Can I drink safflower during menstruation?

Can you drink safflower during menstruation? When it comes to this question, most people don’t know it. When it comes to safflower, many people actually don’t know about it. This is because in real life, most people cannot eat or drink safflower. Of course, some people have eaten safflower in their daily diet. However, most women who are menstruating have never drunk safflower.

When it comes to menstruation, I believe many people know about it. For ordinary women, there are many aspects of life that need to be paid attention to during menstruation, because many of them will affect their physical health, especially daily diet, which also has a great impact on the body. So, let’s talk about the question of whether you can drink safflower during menstruation.

You can’t drink safflower during your menstrual period. Safflower can promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, but if used improperly, it can cause continuous menstrual bleeding or cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and may cause miscarriage in pregnant women; double flower has the effects of clearing away heat and detoxifying, reducing swelling and relieving pain, but it should not be used frequently by people with weak spleen and stomach; although chrysanthemum tea has the effects of clearing heat and detoxifying, it is not very suitable for people with yang deficiency as referred to in traditional Chinese medicine. Scented tea should not be consumed in large quantities for a long time. It should be chosen scientifically and reasonably according to each person's specific situation under the guidance of a doctor.

Safflower decoction has a stimulating effect on the isolated uterus of mice, guinea pigs, rabbits and dogs. Experiments on anesthetized animals have shown that the decoction also has a stimulating effect on the uterus in situ of mice, cats and dogs. Whether administered in vitro or in the uterus, tension and/or rhythmicity are significantly increased, and sometimes the excitatory effect is so strong that it can cause convulsions. The effect on the pregnant uterus is more obvious than that on the non-pregnant one. Rabbits with uterine fistula also showed uterine excitement after iv administration of the decoction, with increased contraction frequency and amplitude, and a more lasting effect. It has also been reported that injecting safflower decoction around the vagina of ovariectomized mice can significantly increase uterine weight, suggesting an estrogen-like effect.

To sum up, we know that safflower actually has a certain effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, so women are generally not allowed to drink safflower during menstruation. This is very harmful to the health of women during menstruation. I hope that our female friends will pay great attention to this. Even if they have the opportunity, they should never drink safflower.
