Women develop five good habits to stay away from breast cancer

The fundamental reason why exercise can prevent breast cancer is that it can control body weight gain. A research report from Harvard University shows that women who gain weight rapidly after the age of 18 have almost twice the risk of developing breast cancer after menopause compared with those women who maintain a normal weight for a long time.

1. Control your weight

The fundamental reason why exercise can prevent breast cancer is that it can control body weight gain. A research report from Harvard University shows that women who gain weight rapidly after the age of 18 have almost twice the risk of developing breast cancer after menopause compared with those women who maintain a normal weight for a long time.

2. Exercise regularly

Recently, a research report published in the Journal of the National Cancer Society of the United States pointed out that exercise can reduce the incidence of breast cancer in women before and after menopause by 60%. A Norwegian research institute surveyed 25,624 women and found that those who exercised at least 4 hours a week had a 37% lower risk of breast cancer.

3. Don’t drink alcohol

American experts believe that if you drink once a day, your risk of breast cancer increases by 11%; if you drink twice a day, the risk is 24%; if you drink more than twice a day, the risk increases to 40%. Therefore, ladies who like to drink are advised to drink no more than three times a week and drink in moderation.

4. Take Vitamin D

The latest research results show that vitamin D has the effect of preventing breast cancer. Studies have found that women who take 200 international units of vitamin D a day (about two teaspoons of vitamin D powder) have about a 30% lower risk of breast cancer. Doctors therefore recommend that women aged 50 and under take at least 200 international units of vitamin D per day, while women over 50 should take 400 to 600 international units of vitamin D per day.

5. Get more sun

Related to taking vitamin D, getting more sun exposure may also reduce the incidence of breast cancer because the skin can only synthesize vitamin D in sunlight. American experts say that for most people, 10 to 15 minutes of sun exposure a day is enough, which is enough for people to maintain the vitamin D needed by the human body. However, some experts have suggested that excessive exposure of the skin to the sun will increase the risk of skin cancer, so sunbathing should be done in moderation.
