Low estrogen

Low estrogen

Estrogen is a female sex hormone that is mainly secreted by the ovaries and placenta. Of course, the adrenal cortex can also produce some estrogen. Estrogen is an important guarantee for female development, especially when women enter puberty. The development of breasts, uterus, vagina, etc. depends on the action of estrogen, especially women's secondary sexual characteristics, which need the promotion of estrogen.

In addition, the deposition of calcium in women's bones also depends on estrogen. It can be seen how important estrogen is to the development of women. If the estrogen content in women's bodies is too low, it will have a very big impact on women's bodies. There are more than 400 estrogen receptors in women's bodies. When women go through menopause, the rapid decrease in estrogen causes changes in these 400 receptors.

The tissues and systems in which they are located will also change, and such huge changes are concentrated around menopause, forming menopausal syndrome in women. A woman's uterus will also continue to shrink due to the decrease in estrogen. Until menopause, a woman's uterus's reproductive capacity ends. As women age, the amount of estrogen in their bodies decreases, causing the vulva to shrink.

The vulva of females during adolescence is plump, but as menopause approaches, the estrogen level in the body continues to decrease, the vulva gradually shrinks, loses moisture, and can no longer completely close, causing women at this time to be prone to vulvitis. The same reason also causes women's vagina to atrophy, secretions to decrease, and the environment inside the vagina to change from acidic to neutral.

The decrease in estrogen leads to a decrease in women's sexual desire, darker and duller skin color, and aging. The incidence of coronary heart disease increases, osteoporosis becomes more obvious, teeth begin to fall out one after another, and eye diseases such as cataracts are very easy to occur, causing women to have amblyopia, and in severe cases, even blindness. Therefore, we should pay attention to daily supplementation of estrogen.
