Do not eat wild mushrooms

The hot and humid environment in July is particularly conducive to the vigorous growth of various wild fungi, including us, of course, so this period is a high incidence period of poisoning from wild poisonous mushrooms, especially in rural areas.

Different poisonous mushrooms contain different toxins, and one poisonous mushroom may contain multiple toxins, causing different damages to the human body. There are seven common types of mushroom poisoning, namely acute liver damage, acute kidney damage, rhabdomyolysis, hemolysis, gastroenteritis, neuropsychiatric, and photosensitive dermatitis. In addition, it can also cause damage to other systemic organs. If you eat multiple poisonous mushrooms, the symptoms of poisoning will be more complicated and even life-threatening.

Some poisonous mushrooms are very similar to edible mushrooms. As a non-professional, it is difficult to accurately identify them based on past experience, such as shape, smell, color, growth location, whether there are insects, whether there is juice, etc. Fungi experts mainly classify and identify poisonous mushrooms based on their morphological characteristics, but sometimes it is difficult for experts to identify them with the naked eye alone, so scientific experiments are needed to determine.
