Is breast hyperplasia serious?

Breasts are a very important part for every woman. Breasts are not only an important gender characteristic of women but also an important lactation organ. Therefore, the health of breasts is also a matter of great concern to everyone. However, the breast is also very susceptible to some diseases. Breast hyperplasia is a very common breast disease. So is breast hyperplasia serious?

When it comes to the disease of breast hyperplasia, many women are particularly worried. In fact, some people don’t know much about breast hyperplasia. So what exactly is breast hyperplasia and is it harmful? Experts say that if it is simple breast hyperplasia, female patients do not need to worry too much, but if it is accompanied by four special conditions, they must be vigilant and careful. In fact, for breast hyperplasia, it is best for patients to have regular check-ups to avoid missing the best treatment period.

During routine physical examinations, many women are reminded by their doctors: "You have some breast hyperplasia." This makes many women very nervous, fearing that it may be linked to breast cancer. Experts believe that there is no need to be so nervous. The probability of breast hyperplasia developing into cancer is very small. As long as you pay attention to adjusting your mood, relieving stress, and cooperate with some treatment, breast hyperplasia will not threaten your health.

70% to 90% of women have breast hyperplasia problems

According to experts, judging from the current situation, the incidence of breast hyperplasia has been showing an upward trend. In the past, most people with this problem were women between 20 and 50 years old, but now patients with breast hyperplasia are getting younger and it is not uncommon among teenage girls. Patients with breast hyperplasia are mainly middle-aged and young women. Although there is no universal and specific survey in this regard, according to the physical examination clinics in hospitals, women with breast hyperplasia problems account for 70% to 90% of all women who come for examinations. It seems that the incidence rate is quite high.

Breast hyperplasia does not mean breast cancer

Because breast hyperplasia is the most common and high-incidence disease in women of childbearing age between 25 and 40 years old, the proportion of patients with hyperplasia in breast clinics reaches more than 90%. Moreover, mild breast hyperplasia is not related to cancer. It is caused by long-term high estrogen levels in the female body environment, which stimulates the mammary ducts. It is neither inflammation nor tumor. The clinical manifestation is cyclical breast pain, which is more severe before the menstrual cycle and relieved or disappears after the cycle ends. Older, unmarried women who have not given birth or breast-fed and are depressed are most likely to develop this disease.

Some experts believe that as cystic breast hyperplasia develops, the proliferating tissue continues to necrotize, and it is difficult to say whether the body will develop cancer due to this chronic stimulation. However, according to current research, only about 3% to 5% of patients with hyperplasia develop breast cancer. From another perspective, because breast cancer develops very slowly, it will take 33 months for it to develop even if no measures are taken. Therefore, even if there is breast cancer, there is a solution as long as it is treated actively, and the patient does not need to have too much mental burden.

The incidence rate of breast hyperplasia is relatively high among women. Female patients with breast hyperplasia should not worry too much. As long as the patients actively seek treatment and maintain a good attitude, they can still recover. Therefore, after the occurrence of breast hyperplasia, patients must receive timely treatment and also pay attention to maintaining good living and eating habits.
