Are ovulation test strips accurate?

Are ovulation test strips accurate?

Ovulation test strips are mainly used for luteinizing hormone detection. At the same time, they are mainly some common methods for qualitative detection of luteinizing hormone in the human body. Their main purpose is to determine the ovulation time and the safe period of the female menstrual cycle, to achieve the best period for conception and to use the safe period for contraception. Therefore, they are some auxiliary diagnoses for women's ovulation and body temperature detection. In life, they are mainly for selecting the period of conception and some safe contraception purposes.

Its use in life is also very basic. How to understand the dangerous period and some specific operations are also very critical. Some experiments are also relatively critical. At the same time, you must pay attention to choosing a dry and clean container to collect urine for testing in order to display the results.

This reagent adopts the principle of immunochromatography double antibody sandwich method and colloidal gold labeling technology. It is made of nitrocellulose membrane with mouse anti-a-LH monoclonal antibody (test line) and goat anti-mouse IgG polyclonal antibody (control line) as solid phase, glass fiber pre-adsorbed with colloidal gold labeled mouse anti-β-LH monoclonal antibody and other auxiliary materials pasted in sequence.

During the test, the LH in the urine sample combines with the pre-solidified β-LH monoclonal antibody colloidal gold on the sample pad of the test paper to form a complex. The complex migrates upward to the test line (T) area due to the capillary action of the membrane and reacts with the a-LH antibody on the membrane to form a red strip. Regardless of whether LH is present in the sample, when the liquid level continues to migrate to the control line (C) area, a red strip will definitely appear in this area. If the color of the red strip in the test line area (T) is darker or similar to that of the red strip in the control line area (C), it indicates a positive result, indicating that the subject is in the ovulation period; if the color of the red strip in the test line area (T) is lighter than that of the red strip in the control line area (C), it indicates a negative result, indicating that the subject is not in the ovulation period. The red stripe in the control line area (C) is the standard for judging whether there is enough specimen and whether the chromatography process is normal. It also serves as the internal control standard of the reagent.

The above is whether the ovulation test paper is accurate or not. It is mainly to determine the ovulation time and the safe period of the female menstrual cycle, to achieve the best time for conception and the purpose of using the safe period for contraception. Therefore, it is some auxiliary diagnosis of women's ovulation and body temperature detection, and it is also more critical for many people to test the ovulation test paper in time and go to the hospital for examination.
