What foods to eat for dysmenorrhea

As the saying goes: "Nine out of ten women suffer from menstrual pain." This sentence also shows that dysmenorrhea is a very common symptom among women. Most people believe that dysmenorrhea will naturally disappear after women get married and have children. In fact, this statement is correct to a certain extent, but we cannot ignore the impact of dysmenorrhea. Some female diseases can also cause dysmenorrhea, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, uterine fibroids, etc. Therefore, if you have dysmenorrhea, you need to go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment to understand the situation.

Dysmenorrhea in women is so common. In addition to being caused by certain gynecological diseases, it is more because we do not pay attention to our own bodies. Emotional fluctuations during menstruation, catching cold, sitting baths, having sex, malnutrition, etc. can all cause dysmenorrhea, especially malnutrition. In order to lose weight, many women like to eat one meal and skip the next. This habit is very bad, especially during menstruation. During this period, the energy consumed by the human body will increase, so we should supplement nutrition. Next, I will introduce what kind of diet should we have for women with dysmenorrhea.

1. Drink moderately

Alcohol can warm the yang, dredge the meridians, promote qi and dispel cold. Drinking some rice wine, koji wine, fermented rice, red wine, etc. appropriately can dredge the meridians, dilate blood vessels and relieve dysmenorrhea. For example, soak 100 grams of safflower in 400 milliliters of white wine for a week to make safflower wine. Take 10 milliliters a day (you can add a small amount of brown sugar). It can warm the meridians and promote blood circulation. It is suitable for people with blood stasis and dysmenorrhea.

2. Supplement foods rich in vitamin E

Vitamin E, also known as tocopherol, plays a role in maintaining the normal function of reproductive organs and muscle metabolism. Foods with high content of vitamin E include grain germ, wheat germ, egg yolk, beans, nuts, leafy vegetables, sesame oil, etc. We should eat more of these foods.

3. Food conditioning according to the symptoms

According to the different symptoms of dysmenorrhea, foods that warm the body, dissolve blood stasis, and replenish the body are given respectively. People who suffer from cold stagnation, qi stagnation, cold body and fear of cold should eat foods that warm the meridians and dispel cold, such as chestnuts, lychees, brown sugar, ginger, fennel, Sichuan pepper, and pepper. People with qi stagnation and blood stasis should eat foods that can promote ventilation and remove blood stasis, such as celery, shepherd's purse, spinach, shallots, coriander, water spinach, ginger, carrots, oranges, orange peel, bergamot, bananas, apples, etc. People who are weak and have insufficient qi and blood should eat foods that replenish qi, blood and kidneys, such as walnut kernels, lychees, longans, dates, mulberries, wolfberries, yam, various beans, etc.

4. You can eat more high-protein foods such as beans and fish, and increase the intake of green leafy vegetables and fruits. You should also drink more water to keep your bowels open and reduce pelvic congestion. Women should avoid eating salty food before menstruation. Because salty food will increase the body's salt and water storage, before menstruation, the progesterone level will increase, which can easily lead to edema, headaches and other phenomena. If you start eating a low-salt food 10 days before your period, the above symptoms will not occur.

From the above, we can see that many foods are effective in relieving dysmenorrhea in women. If you have friends who suffer from dysmenorrhea, you might as well try them.
