How to treat uterine prolapse?

Regarding uterine prolapse, several methods are introduced below. It is generally quite troublesome, so it is best to deal with it in time, the sooner the better. The most important thing is to pay more attention to rest. You still need to pay attention to some symptoms and report to your doctor in time. At the same time, you need to supplement where you are deficient, and you should also have a certain amount of food and exercise.

Birth trauma is the main cause of uterine prolapse. During delivery, the uterus has not yet fully opened, but the mother holds her breath and pushes down; premature labor, delayed labor, macrosomia, and vaginal delivery operations such as forceps and gluteal traction can all cause the supporting tissue of the uterus to overstretch or tear, and damage some fascia, ligaments, and muscle tissue; uterine prolapse can generally manifest as pain or a feeling of falling in the lumbar and sacral region, a mass protruding from the vulva, a swelling that increases when walking, shrinks when resting, and can be pushed back in by hand. There may also be frequent urination, urgency, or even difficulty urinating, and the prolapsed material may cause ulcers due to friction. The symptoms vary depending on the severity of uterine prolapse, and it is clinically divided into three degrees. The treatment of uterine prolapse can be divided into three types: general supportive therapy, non-surgical therapy and surgical therapy.

General supportive therapy is to pay attention to strengthening the physical fitness, improving nutrition, avoiding increased abdominal pressure and heavy physical labor, maintaining smooth bowel movements, and treating chronic cough.

Non-surgical treatment is suitable for patients with severe grade I, mild grade II, weak constitution or who cannot tolerate surgery due to other diseases. A pessary may be used in conjunction with general supportive care. The pessary method is simple, safe, economical and easy to use. The commonly used pessaries in my country include various types such as trumpet-shaped, ring-shaped, and ball-shaped.

Surgical treatment is suitable for patients with uterine prolapse that fails to respond to conservative treatment or with severe grade II or IIIA prolapse. The appropriate surgical method should be selected based on the patient's age, fertility requirements and overall health.

Finally, uterine prolapse must be avoided, especially after childbirth. You should check your body in time, and pay attention to your exercise and diet. If you find something wrong, you should seek appropriate doctor for examination and treatment in time. At the same time, the amount of exercise should not be too much, so as not to overburden the body.
