How to use sunscreen

In summer, the skin is very easy to be sunburned, so it needs to be well protected at this time. Sunscreen is a good choice. Such products can also protect the skin well so that it will not be damaged by the sun due to being outside for too long. What are the uses of sunscreen? Many people don’t know much about this, especially for some people who don’t like to wear makeup, they don’t know how to use such cosmetics.

So what are the uses of sunscreen? You can also get detailed consultation. There are many ways to use it, and when choosing, you should also pay attention to its efficacy and duration, which are very different.

How to use sunscreen:

⑴. Choose sunscreen with different SPF values according to the occasion. The sunscreen you choose should not only protect against medium-wave ultraviolet rays UVB (which can cause suntan and sunburn), but also against long-wave ultraviolet rays UVA (which can cause skin aging and wrinkles). The higher the SPF value, the greater the burden on the skin and the more likely it is to cause skin allergies. So when choosing sunscreen, the higher the SPF, the better. And it is best to wash off the sunscreen in time after returning home.

In daily life, you can choose sunscreen with an SPF value between 10-15, or sp+; when shopping, you can choose sunscreen with an SPF value between 15-20, or sp++; when traveling, you can choose sunscreen with an SPF value between 20-30, or sp+++; for swimming and sunbathing, you need to choose a sunscreen with an SPF value of 30 or above (waterproof), and reapply it every 2-3 hours. If you engage in underwater activities, you need to reapply it every 80 minutes.

⑵. Ultraviolet rays can damage the skin even in winter, indoors, and on cloudy days. On cloudy days or in the shade of trees, the intensity of ultraviolet rays will only decrease by about 30%. Therefore, sunscreen should be used all year round, rain or shine.

⑶. Sunscreen takes a certain amount of time to be absorbed and take effect, so it should be applied 20-30 minutes before going out.

⑷. SPF values cannot be accumulated and cannot be used before applying makeup. When reapplying sunscreen, you must remove makeup before applying it.

⑸. Sunscreen must reach a certain thickness to be effective. If it is too thin, it will not achieve the desired effect, and if it is too thick, it will cause a burden on the skin. The general application amount is 2 mg per square centimeter. 2-2.5 grams should be applied to a pair of arms at a time, and 1-1.5 grams should be applied to the face at a time.

Through the above introduction, we have some understanding of the usage of sunscreen, so when using it, we must follow the above method, especially the amount used, it cannot be done arbitrarily, otherwise it will cause some damage to the skin. We must pay attention to this point, which is also a kind of maintenance for the skin.
