Can I still get pregnant when my period comes?

Can I still get pregnant when my period comes?

Pregnancy is very important for women. After pregnancy, hormone levels change, the endometrium also changes, the endometrium will not fall off, and then menstruation will not occur. Then we may ask if it is still possible to get pregnant after menstruation? Generally not, because the changes in the morphology of the endometrium at this time are not suitable for embryo implantation.

As a woman, we all know that if you are pregnant, you will not have your period. Can you still be pregnant if you have your period? Regarding this question, generally speaking, having your period does not mean you are not pregnant. Let’s take a closer look.

After a woman becomes pregnant, her ovaries stop releasing eggs and generally she will no longer have her period. However, a small number of women continue to menstruate during the early stages of pregnancy. In the early stages of pregnancy, the level of progesterone in a woman's body is low, the formation of the uterine decidua is not yet complete, and the ovaries still release mature eggs every month, so the uterus will still bleed periodically. This is why menstruation still occurs after pregnancy. However, since the placenta gradually forms and uterine bleeding stops after 3 months of pregnancy, the menstruation will not continue for more than 4 months after pregnancy.

Normally, there will be no "menstruation". Generally speaking, "menstruation" means that you are not pregnant. But it is important to note that menstruation and vaginal bleeding are two different things. Please note that there may be bleeding after pregnancy. It may be an incomplete miscarriage or implantation bleeding that is mistaken for menstruation. So it does not necessarily mean that there will be no "menstruation" when you are pregnant. This is false menstruation. It's just vaginal bleeding.

Can you still get pregnant after your period? As mentioned above, generally not. Having your period generally means you are not pregnant, because the endometrium during menstruation is not suitable for embryo implantation. However, some individuals experience a small amount of vaginal bleeding in the early stages of pregnancy. We need to rule out whether it is a symptom of threatened abortion, so we must be cautious.
