What to do with cervical scaly lesions

What to do with cervical scaly lesions

A woman's uterus has the function of creating the next generation and is one of the most important organs of the human body. The cervix connected to the uterus should not be underestimated. If the cervix is diseased, it will be very serious. Cervical erosion is a gynecological disease suffered by many female friends. When it is mild, people don’t pay much attention to it and only go to the doctor when it becomes serious. At this time, it is possible that it has already become a disease and needs a cervical puncture biopsy to further confirm it. So what should we do if the cervical biopsy shows abnormalities?

What should I do if there is a change in the cervical biopsy?

1. Observation: Regular follow-up observation is recommended for CIN grade I patients.

2. Physical therapy, including cooling, laser, electrocoagulation, etc., can be used for CIN grade I patients who cannot undergo regular follow-up.

3. Excisional surgery, also known as cervical conization, includes LEEP and cold knife conization. Patients with CIN grade II or above and CIN grade I for 2 years should undergo cervical conization.

4. Total hysterectomy is not the first choice for the treatment of CIN. If it is early, middle or late stage cervical cancer, a comprehensive hysterectomy and lymph node clearance should be performed.

5. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy. For mid- and late-stage cervical cancer, the opportunity for surgical treatment has been lost. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy of the cervix can achieve the same therapeutic effect as surgical treatment. In addition, radiotherapy and chemotherapy can be done at any stage of cervical cancer, but for young patients, if radiotherapy and chemotherapy are done, it will affect the ovaries, cause vaginal muscle atrophy, affect endocrine and sexual life, so surgical treatment is more recommended.

What causes cervical cancer?

There are many reasons for cervical disease, but it can be concluded that they are mainly related to marriage and daily sexual life. Early marriage, early childbearing, frequent sexual life, multiple births, cervical erosion, and estrogen imbalance can all cause cervical disease. If the cells of the female cervix are stimulated or infected for a long time, a series of inflammatory phenomena will occur. The normal and healthy cervical cells will therefore become abnormally proliferative and may turn into early cervical tumor cells.

All diseases can be cured if they are discovered and treated early. However, if they are discovered and treated late, the chances of recovery are very low. Gynecological diseases are common symptoms among women. Cervicitis and cervical erosion are the top priorities among gynecological diseases. We must pay great attention to them. If we do not treat them, we will bear the consequences at our own risk. Don't be too anxious when there are changes in cervical biopsy. Relaxation is also good for the condition. Changes are not necessarily cervical cancer.
