What to do if you have pelvic pain in late pregnancy

When a woman reaches the middle and late stages of pregnancy, her body will experience many discomforts, such as difficulty breathing, anxiety, lower limb edema, constipation, frequent urination, and back pain. Many pregnant women feel that pelvic pain is severe and need to take certain effective measures to alleviate it. So, let’s discuss what to do if pregnant women suffer from pelvic pain in the middle and late stages of pregnancy?

If a woman is not pregnant, her pelvic joints will not move and there will be no pain. However, if the pelvic bones move during pregnancy and the fibrous cartilage becomes painful, the following measures can be taken:

1. Support point belt

Pregnant women can use support belts to effectively prevent pelvic pain or alleviate this condition, especially pregnant women with severe pain should use it as soon as possible. Its main function is to stabilize the ischial tuberosity, with the aim of reducing pelvic movement. In order to properly use the support belt for the first time, it should be carried out under the guidance of a doctor to prevent the abdomen from being subjected to pressure and causing various uncomfortable symptoms.

However, when using the support belt, you must take it off when sleeping to avoid poor sleeping posture causing the support belt to twist and cause compression of the abdomen.

2. Small activities

Pregnant women do not need to endure the pain if they experience pelvic pain. In addition, if some postures cause pregnant women to feel pelvic pain, they should be careful not to do these postures again. If you don't pay attention to the worsening of the pain, you will also experience various discomfort symptoms, and it will take a long time to recover. Therefore, some small activities in daily life can relieve pelvic pain.

Be careful to avoid exerting force on your waist when doing these small activities. If you don't exert force properly and there is no pain, the pain may still occur until you go to bed later at night.
