How many of the 4 things cancer fears the most have you done?

Mention the word "cancer"

Everyone's face changed.

Little did we know that cancer also has "natural enemies"

Doctor Yuan Yuan will show you

What Cancer Fears Most

1. The most feared thing is a balanced diet

1. Fear of foods rich in vitamin C

Vitamin C has certain anti-cancer and cancer prevention effects. It can inhibit the synthesis of nitrosamines in the body by methylbenzylamine and sodium nitrite. Nitrosamines are a strong carcinogen. By inhibiting the formation of nitrosamines, the risk of esophageal cancer, gastric cancer and other cancers can be reduced.

Foods rich in vitamin C are mainly fresh fruits and vegetables .

When eating fruit, try to eat whole fruits and replace them with less juice and vitamin supplements.

2. Fear of foods rich in dietary fiber

Dietary fiber can promote the formation of feces, and after the carcinogens in the colon are excreted with feces, it can reduce the exposure to harmful substances. In addition, dietary fiber can also prevent breast cancer by binding estrogen and reducing the reabsorption of estrogen by the colon.

Foods rich in dietary fiber include whole grains, beans, mushrooms, fruits and vegetables, and potatoes.

Dietary fiber is best obtained from natural foods, but more is not necessarily better. If you consume too much, it will affect the body's absorption of minerals.

3. Fear of foods rich in calcium

Bile acid and free fatty acids in the large intestine can stimulate excessive proliferation of large intestine epithelial cells and cause colorectal cancer. Calcium can combine with bile acid and free fatty acids to reduce the risk of colorectal cancer.

Foods rich in calcium include: dairy products such as milk, yogurt, and cheese, soy products such as tofu, dried tofu, and bean skin, and green leafy vegetables such as pakchoy, broccoli, and rapeseed.

2. Fear of maintaining a healthy weight

The World Cancer Research Fund's years of clinical research have found that 33% of cancers occur in obese people; among them, obese women have a higher risk of cancer than obese men.

The following two indicators can be used to assess obesity

1. BMI index

BMI index = weight (kg) / height (m)^2. It is the number calculated by dividing weight (kg) by height (m) squared. For example, if the weight is 55 kg and the height is 1.63 meters, then the BMI is 55÷1.63² ≈ 20.7.

2. Waist circumference

Even among people whose body mass index is within the normal range, about 14% still have abdominal obesity.

If the waist circumference of an adult male is ≥ 90 cm and that of a female is ≥ 85 cm, the waist circumference is considered to be above the standard.

[How to measure waist circumference]

Find the lowest point of the ribs and the highest point of the hip bones on both sides of the body, take the midpoint of the line connecting the two points, and use a tape measure to wrap it horizontally around the waist (close to the skin but not pressing on it) to measure your waist circumference.

Note: When measuring, take off or pull up your shirt, stand up straight, and breathe slowly. Do not hold your breath or suck in your stomach. Repeat the measurement 2 to 3 times to ensure accuracy.

3. Fear of sleeping well

Good, adequate sleep can reduce the risk of cancer. This is because after a person falls asleep, the pineal gland automatically releases melatonin, which has been shown to reduce cancer progression through a variety of different biological pathways.

The average sleep time for adults is best maintained at 7 to 8 hours per day. However, this is only the average sleep time in a statistical sense, and it will vary from person to person. Generally speaking, when you wake up, your energy and physical strength are restored, your mind is clear, and you can work and study efficiently, which means you often get enough sleep.

In addition, maintaining a regular sleep schedule, going to bed and getting up on time will help improve sleep quality!

4. Fear of exercise

Exercise helps maintain healthy hormone levels in the body and enhance immunity, and people who exercise regularly can reduce their risk of cancer.

The type of exercise is not important, as long as you move, it is good for your body. The key is to avoid sitting or lying down for long periods of time.

The occurrence of cancer is the result of the long-term effects of multiple factors, which can be divided into modifiable carcinogenic factors and unmodifiable carcinogenic factors . In addition to the above four things, modifiable carcinogenic factors also include quitting smoking, limiting alcohol, eating less processed meat, and treating infectious diseases ; unmodifiable carcinogenic factors include age and genetics , which can be detected, diagnosed, and treated early through regular screening.
