Don’t rush to lose weight! Rapid weight loss also has side effects! Steady weight loss is the key to health

Many people want to lose weight quickly, but we often see news reports of liver and kidney failure and even sudden death. Why is this happening? It’s all because of losing weight too quickly!

1. Does weight loss also have “side effects”?

Studies have found that if a person loses more than 20 kilograms in 30 days, a large amount of fat in the body will be broken down, resulting in a sudden increase in cytotoxic free fatty acids, which may cause liver cell necrosis and even liver failure , with a mortality rate as high as 20%-30%!

Not only that, excessive exercise while losing weight can cause acute muscle damage and dissolution, resulting in symptoms of muscle dissolution such as muscle pain and general fatigue. The toxic substances produced after muscle necrosis may block the renal tubules after metabolism through the kidneys, leading to acute renal failure .

What’s even more frightening is that energy and electrolyte metabolism disorders caused by rapid weight loss can directly damage the heart and induce sudden death .

Therefore, scientific weight loss is very important!

2. Scientific weight loss has requirements

China's "Dietary Guidelines for Adult Obesity" points out that the ideal weight loss goal should be to reduce 5%-10% of current body weight in 6 months, and the reasonable weight loss rate is to lose 2-4 kilograms per month.

In addition, whether exercise is effective in losing weight does not depend on how much sweat you shed, but on whether your heart rate reaches the target. Healthy young people generally control their heart rate at 120-150 beats per minute for more than 20 minutes during exercise to consume fat.

Everyone should understand that the fat on your body is gained by eating one bite at a time, so weight loss should be carried out steadily. Don't blindly pursue rapid weight loss and lose your health!
