These 4 types of hepatitis B patients have a great chance of being “clinically cured”!

Yesterday, a hepatitis B patient from Liaocheng, Shandong came to the hospital for a follow-up examination. After 3 years of oral antiviral drugs and 1 year of interferon comprehensive treatment, the five hepatitis B surface antigens turned negative and surface antibodies appeared, achieving clinical cure and winning the gold medal.

What kind of people are more likely to get clinical cure?

1. Young people

Clinical studies have found that young people, especially children, have stronger immunity and are more likely to achieve hepatitis B surface antigen antibody conversion after receiving systematic comprehensive treatment during the disease stage or carrier state.

2. Patients with low HBsAg titer

Hepatitis B patients with a HBsAg titer of less than 1500 are the most likely to turn negative for hepatitis B. It is recommended that this group of people be treated with combined interferon or immunomodulation, and the possibility of turning negative is also very high.

3. E antigen positive patients with abnormal transaminase

Chronic hepatitis B patients with positive e-antigen, accompanied by repeated transaminase and low viral replication levels, can easily turn negative after oral antiviral drugs or interferon treatment with significantly increased alanine aminotransferase, rapid decrease in surface antigen, and rapid conversion of e-antigen.

4. Some patients with acute exacerbation of chronic hepatitis B

Clinically, some chronic hepatitis B patients who actively receive treatment after an acute attack can also become the group with the advantage of turning negative for hepatitis B. However, it is difficult to grasp the onset period, and many people may miss the best time for treatment.
