How to deal with fetal movement at 21st week of pregnancy

At 21 weeks of pregnancy, which is 5 and a half months, the baby's movements can already be felt, and are becoming more and more regular. The weight increased by about 8kg, the uterine height was about 20cm, and the fetal abdominal circumference was about 85cm. Nowadays, the baby is growing faster and needs to absorb more nutrients. It is necessary to properly supplement nutrients, vitamins, DHA, protein, etc. to promote the normal growth and development of the fetus. At present, the fetus's internal organs have gradually grown and developed, and a three-dimensional or four-dimensional B-ultrasound is needed to exclude abnormalities during the 22nd to 26th week of pregnancy.

At 21 weeks of pregnancy, the development of the fetus can be judged to be normal based on various indicators of color Doppler ultrasound examination. During this time range, the amniotic fluid index should be between 14.9 and 15.1, the amniotic fluid flow should be between 200 and 500 ml, the embryonic maturity is level zero, and the progesterone index value is between 40.6 and 165.4. Generally, during this period of time, the weight of a pregnant woman should not increase by more than 5 kilograms. If the various indicators of color Doppler ultrasound examination can meet the above requirements, it means that the fetal growth is basically normal, and you can go for prenatal check-ups on time.

The 21st week of pregnancy is about 5 months of pregnancy, but it has not yet reached 6 months. This time range belongs to the second trimester.

It is recommended to use weeks to indicate the number of days of pregnancy, which is more accurate and helpful in arranging the procedures of prenatal checkups and judging the development of the fetus. It is generally believed that pregnancy will take 10 months before delivery, which is called the ten months of pregnancy. The ten months of pregnancy are a total of 280 days, or 28 days/month, or 14 weeks/month. 21 weeks divided by 4 is 5.25 months, which means that at 21 weeks, it is about the beginning of the fifth month of pregnancy, but it has not yet reached the sixth month. This time range belongs to the second trimester, when the fetus develops relatively rapidly. Generally, basic prenatal examinations need to be carried out during this time. The main purpose is to do the first systematic color Doppler ultrasound examination to determine whether the fetus has any malformations.

Patients should improve their nutrition and eat more high-protein foods, such as lean meat, eggs, milk and fresh fruits, such as apples, bananas, etc. If the condition is better, they can also eat more bird's nests and various nuts.
