Bleeding after metronidazole suppository

Bleeding after metronidazole suppository

Metronidazole suppositories are used for bacterial infection of vaginal diseases, or candidal vaginitis caused by Trichomonas infection in the vagina. Most of these two diseases are treated with metronidazole suppositories, which is a very effective medicine and the treatment effect is very certain. However, there are also very few patients who report vaginal bleeding after using metronidazole suppositories. In this case, the cause of vaginal bleeding needs to be found out, because the metronidazole suppository itself will not cause ovarian dysfunction or damage to the uterine wall. However, if the application posture is not skillful enough or some awkwardness may cause scratches on the vaginal wall mucosa or damage to the cervix.

If the bleeding is very small, you can temporarily observe it without any treatment. However, if the bleeding is heavy, you need to seek the help of a doctor to check and find out the cause of the bleeding and give symptomatic treatment.

Metronidazole suppositories are mainly used to treat bacterial vaginal infections and candidal vaginitis. The actual operation method is as follows: 1: Check the medicine gift box to see if it is within the validity period. 2: Clean the vulva and prepare to take medicine in advance. 3: Open the medicine gift box, remove the plastic box cover, put it on your ring finger, and then gently insert the metronidazole suppository into the shallow layer of the vagina. After taking the medicine, try not to get out of bed to prevent the medicine from slipping out of the vagina. This medicine is administered once every night, one pill at a time, and is used continuously for seven days as a course of treatment. Try to avoid sexual intercourse during the medication period.

Under normal circumstances, you cannot have sex while taking metronidazole suppositories. Generally, you can have sex after you stop taking the medicine. Metronidazole suppositories are used to treat Trichomonas infection. The general clinical symptoms are watery secretions with a fishy odor. When you have itching, you can use metronidazole suppositories. Usually the disease will recur around menstruation. Generally, you should take the medicine for one week a month, and one menstrual cycle is three months. If you have sex during the medication period, the drug effect will weaken and increase the chance of inflammation and infection. Therefore, you are not allowed to have sex while taking metronidazole suppositories.
