Green urine in women

Green urine in women

Normal urine is light yellow in color and does not have a pungent smell. The color of urine can reflect the health of the body. Green urine in women may be due to certain foods or medications, or it may be due to inflammation of the urinary system. Bacteria or viral infections can cause changes in urine color. If urination is also difficult, you should go to the hospital for a routine urine test and receive anti-infection treatment.

1. Effects of drugs on urine color

1. Many drugs can cause changes in urine color. Things that turn urine yellow: berberine, atilapine, vitamin B complex, tetracycline, vitamin B2, rifampicin, sulfadiazine, furazolidone, yilidan, compound rhubarb tablets, etc.

2. Those that turn urine reddish yellow or brown; nitrofurantoin, chlorpromazine, primaquine, and sulfonamides. Things that turn urine red: aminopyrine, phenolic peptide, phenytoin sodium, rifampicin, and hibernation spirit.

3. Things that turn urine green: Indomethacin, methylene blue, amitriptyline.

4. Drugs that make urine dark black: metronidazole, methyldopa, levodopa, remifentanil, sorbitol iron.

Drugs that turn urine brown and black: phenacetin, quinine.

2. Urine and Health

1. Transparent zone light lemon color: The color of healthy urine is as clear as possible. To make your urine clear, you need to drink more water. If you drink 8 glasses of water a day, your urine should be a healthy color (water can be obtained from tea, fruits and vegetables).

2. Dandelion yellow: Urine that has been accumulated in the kidneys all night is usually this color. Because the kidneys produce less urine at night, the urine still has the task of eliminating toxins from the body. In addition, a night's sleep puts the human body in a relatively dehydrated state, so the urine in the early morning is darker in color and has a stronger odor. These are all normal and there is no need to worry too much. Generally, after you drink water, the color and odor of your next urine will be better.

3. Orange-yellow: Too much vitamin B in the urine

Taking too much vitamin B can cause your urine to turn orange. The urine will become clear after reducing the vitamin dosage. Doctors recommend that if you are used to taking vitamin B tablets, it is best not to take more than one tablet per day.

4. Ruby red: Did you eat beetroots or carrots? Some vegetables and fruits with natural pigments, such as beetroots, raspberries and carrots, will make your urine red. However, don't worry, the phenomenon of urine turning red is only temporary, and the situation will gradually return to normal if you drink a few more glasses of water.
