All patients with liver disease, please take note: low albumin levels must be taken seriously!

Albumin, also known as serum protein, has the smallest molecular weight in serum and plasma, but is the most abundant. In serum, the albumin content is usually 50 mg/ml, accounting for about 60% of the total protein.

1. Under physiological conditions in the body, a decrease in albumin content will lead to a loss of fluid components in the blood and an increase in interstitial fluid. This can occur in nutritional deficiencies, liver and kidney diseases. Albumin is synthesized by the liver, and these diseases often lead to a decrease in albumin content. Albumin supplementation is helpful for liver and kidney diseases, and has an effect on edema caused by liver and kidney metabolic disorders and diseases.

2. As a carrier, albumin can reversibly combine with many poorly soluble small molecule organic substances and inorganic ions in the body to form soluble complexes, helping them dissolve in plasma. They include bilirubin, long-chain fatty acids, bile salts, prostaglandins, steroid hormones, metal ions, etc. Albumin effectively helps the metabolism of human organs and promotes the transportation of effective substances, such as bile secretion, fat metabolism, prostate function, and excessive heavy metals, which promotes metabolism and transportation.

3. Decreased albumin levels can easily lead to ascites, hypoproteinemia, systemic edema and low immunity. Appropriate human albumin can be supplemented under the guidance of a professional doctor.
