On May 12, 2017, the Science Popularization Department of the China Association for Science and Technology issued the "Notice on Applying for the 2017 "Smart Mom Action" Pilot Project", officially launching the pilot demonstration work of the Smart Mom Action. The "Smart Mom Action" aims to effectively improve the scientific literacy of rural women, help rural women participate equally in the modernization process, share the fruits of reform and development, and achieve a brilliant life. It has been written into the "Implementation Plan for the Outline of the National Science Literacy Action Plan (2016-2020)" and the "13th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the China Association for Science and Technology (2016-2020)".
