Why can't your teeth be whitened no matter how hard you brush them? First you need to understand why they turn yellow...

I only dare to smile at you

Not because of politeness

It's really this big yellow teeth that are too eye-catching

I'm afraid you won't remember my kindness.

I just remember that I have bad teeth.

As a physical threshold to a smile

Whether your teeth are white or not does have a significant impact on your personal image.

How many handsome and beautiful women are there?

Defeated by yellowing teeth!

The causes of yellowing teeth can be divided into two categories according to different principles:

1

Exogenous pigmentation

Exogenous pigments or pigments produced by oral bacteria are deposited on the surface of teeth, causing yellowing of teeth. Many things that are ingested over a long period of time may cause exogenous staining:

Smoking: Smoke contains a substance called caffeine, which reacts with the acid in the mouth to produce smoke stains on teeth;

Drinking tea and coffee: Common beverages such as tea and coffee contain dark brown substances such as tannic acid and tannic acid, which will adhere to the teeth;

Drugs such as chlorhexidine: Chlorhexidine is used to treat gingivitis, oral ulcers, pharyngitis, etc., but long-term use will cause the gum surface and the back of the tongue to become stained.

2

Intrinsic coloration

Endogenous staining is mainly caused by changes in the inside of the teeth, which leads to yellowing of the teeth. There are three common types:

Dental fluorosis: Long-term consumption of fluoride-containing drinking water may cause dental fluorosis. There are areas of chronic fluoride poisoning in many provinces and cities in my country!

Tetracycline teeth: Tooth discoloration caused by regular use of tetracycline drugs is also related to age. It is recommended that pregnant and lactating women and children under 8 years old do not use tetracycline drugs.

Discoloration of dead pulp teeth: Pulpitis, trauma and other reasons lead to the death of pulp tissue, causing the teeth to lose their original luster and appear uneven dark yellow or gray.

Yellowing of teeth is caused by different reasons, and the improvement methods are also different!

For exogenous pigmentation

👉You can try using some whitening toothpaste containing abrasives, such as silicon dioxide, calcium carbonate, calcium dihydrogen phosphate, etc. Most of these abrasives are harder than the pigment film on the teeth and can effectively remove pigment deposits;

👉People with sensitive teeth can choose whitening toothpaste with anti-allergic ingredients, such as potassium ions, sodium phosphosilicate, etc.

👉People who often drink tea and coffee should pay more attention to teeth cleaning and rinse their mouths after drinking.

For endogenous staining

Daily external cleaning methods are almost ineffective. It is best to consult a dentist first. If necessary, you can use bleaching, porcelain veneer restoration and other methods to whiten your teeth.

If a person has conditions such as dentin sensitivity or thin enamel, he or she needs to avoid using ingredients such as hydrogen peroxide, as it may cause varying degrees of damage such as enamel demineralization and changes in dentin structure!

Some whitening toothpastes contain some chemical blue dyes, which can make teeth look very white visually in a short period of time. However, studies have shown that this blue dye only treats the symptoms and not the root cause, and the actual teeth whitening effect is not obvious.

The most important point is that teeth whitening must be done under the guidance of a professional doctor! Do not easily believe in some products or technologies that exaggerate the whitening effect to avoid damage to your teeth and mouth.

Of course not! From the perspective of tooth structure, teeth are destined not to be very white!

The outermost layer of the tooth, the enamel, looks pure white, but it is actually a little translucent. The dentin inside is light yellow, and through the enamel, the color of the tooth appears a little white with a hint of yellow.

so

It is normal for teeth to have a slight yellowish tint

You think your teeth are not white enough, it may just be an illusion

Don’t go too far in your pursuit of teeth whitening
