Pictures of lochia almost finished

When the lochia is about to be discharged, it will turn milky white or translucent. About a week after delivery, mothers' lochia will appear red and the amount will be relatively large. After 1-2 weeks, the lochia will gradually decrease and become dark brown or light pink. By the third week, the lochia will appear dark brown or light yellow. In order to discharge lochia as soon as possible, mothers should pay attention to replenishing blood and qi during the confinement period. At the same time, they can promote the discharge of lochia after delivery by adjusting their diet. There are many foods that are beneficial for pregnant women to expel lochia. Pregnant women can eat hawthorn, donkey-hide gelatin cake, lotus root and other foods appropriately.

The color of postpartum lochia is light yellow or milky white, which belongs to white lochia. It contains bacteria, a large number of white blood cells, decidual cells, etc., which is similar to normal leucorrhea before pregnancy. The total amount of postpartum lochia after giving birth is about 500-1000ml, with a slight fishy smell, but not smelly. After giving birth, use a medical device maternity pad, which contains a metering device to measure the amount of lochia discharge and can record the changes in the amount of lochia discharge at any time, so as to determine whether it is within the normal range and avoid the situation where postpartum hemorrhage cannot be treated in time.

Women will have lochia after giving birth. When the period is almost over, the color of the lochia will appear light white and the amount will be small. A woman will have lochia for three weeks after giving birth. The lochia is dark red in the first week, pulpy in the second week, and milky white in the third week. If women have dark red postpartum lochia that lasts for a long time, most women may have poor uterine repair or residual decidua in the uterine cavity. They need to go to the hospital for a gynecological B-ultrasound examination in time. If necessary, they need to be given motherwort paste to promote uterine contractions or uterine curettage to avoid poor uterine repair and intrauterine infection.

In addition, women should pay attention to adequate rest and maintain a regular life after giving birth, which is also conducive to the discharge of postpartum lochia.
