① Medicines are not ordinary commodities. They are subject to strict requirements and are subject to legal constraints in every link such as production, circulation, and sales. Parents are requested to use medicines purchased through formal channels. Medicine quality is the first hurdle for safe use of medicines.

② Drug instructions are important documents to ensure the safe use of drugs. Drugs that cannot be fully understood due to language barriers should be refused use.

There are other imported medicines that are just overseas versions of domestic medicines. However, due to the lack of Chinese instructions, if you cannot fully understand the indications, dosage and precautions of the medicines in the foreign instructions when using them, it may also pose potential medication risks to your children.

Regarding the use of antipyretic and analgesic drugs at home for children with fever, pharmacists have compiled the key points of medication. When dealing with children with fever, parents should strengthen care, pay close attention to symptoms, and try to simplify the use of medication. If there are changes in symptoms, seek medical attention in a timely manner.

How to use antipyretic drugs reasonably in children

"Choose one of two": The only safe and effective antipyretic ingredients that can be used for children are acetaminophen and ibuprofen .

There is no need to make a deliberate distinction: for children over 6 months old, there is no obvious difference between the two ingredients, so you can choose one.

"Once every 4 hours + 4 times a day": The interval between two doses of medication is more than 4 hours, and the daily use of antipyretics (referring to the above two ingredients) should not exceed 4 times in total.

Alternation is not recommended: Alternation administration may lead to overdose due to confusion of types.

Up to 3 days: If there is no significant improvement after using antipyretic drugs for 3 days, seek medical attention immediately.
