IDC: China's wristband device shipments will increase by 10.9% year-on-year in Q2 2024

According to IDC's latest global quarterly wearable device tracking data, the global wristband device market will ship 43.7 million units in the second quarter of 2024, a year-on-year decrease of 0.7%. China's shipments of 15.5 million units significantly exceeded the global wristband device market, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%.

The wristband device market includes smart watches and bracelets. In the second quarter of 2024, the global smartwatch market shipments were 34.7 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 3.2%, while China's shipments were 11.1 million units, a year-on-year increase of 18.7%. In the second quarter of 2024, the global bracelet market shipments were 9 million units, a year-on-year increase of 10.6%, while the Chinese market shipments were 4.4 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 4.8%.

The growth of China's wristband market not only exceeded that of the global market, but in the first half of 2024, Chinese manufacturers also maintained a rapid growth rate and a strong market position in the global wristband market.
