Recently, according to foreign media reports, a report released by market research firm Insider Intelligence on Tuesday showed that after Musk made a series of changes to Twitter, Twitter will lose 30 million users in two years and revenue growth will remain flat. Twitter is losing more users in the United States, its largest market, than any other country tracked by Insider Intelligence, with a decline of 8.2 million over the next two years, the report said. By the end of 2024, the number of U.S. users is expected to fall to 50.5 million, the lowest level since 2014. Separately, Insider Intelligence cut its forecast for Twitter's ad revenue growth to "roughly flat" from 22% in 2023 and 16% in 2024, as advertisers pulled, paused or permanently stopped advertising due to growing concerns about the platform's brand safety. Revenue and staff losses make it harder for Musk to launch new products and increase usage and engagement on the platform. Last month, Insider Intelligence cut its forecast for Twitter's advertising revenue growth this year by 40%, and Musk attributed Twitter's "significant revenue decline" to pressure from civil rights groups on brands.
