Is ovarian cyst serious?

Everyone has seen the disease of ovarian cyst in life. In fact, the location of ovarian cyst is divided into many places. One place is called the ovarian corona, which is the top of the ovary. Cysts in this area are very serious, and according to whether the cysts are benign or malignant, they should be treated and removed in time. So are ovarian crown cysts serious? Let me introduce you to

As the name suggests, ovarian corona cyst is a cyst that occurs in the corona of the ovary. The occurrence rate of this cyst is relatively high. If you have an ovarian corona cyst, it is best for you to take timely measures to actively prevent the possible harm caused by the ovarian corona cyst. In fact, ovarian cysts may deteriorate into cancer, so ovarian cysts are still relatively serious.

Cysts may exist at a young age and are often discovered during gynecological examinations or B-ultrasound examinations. The cysts are small, generally asymptomatic, and rarely exceed 10 cm in diameter. After puberty, as endocrine function begins to become active, the secretory activity of the epithelial cells in the cavity is enhanced, the cyst cavity expands and symptoms occur.

1. Acute abdominal pain

Ovarian corona cysts are less common than ordinary ovarian cysts, and their sizes vary significantly, with the smallest being 1 to 2 cm in diameter and the largest up to 20 cm. The average diameter is about 8 cm. Generally, ovarian coronary cysts are located within the broad ligament and have little mobility, so torsion will not occur. A small number of pedunculated cysts located in the fimbria of the fallopian tube may twist, causing symptoms of severe pain. Generally, the lesions are unilateral, but in a very small number of patients with bilateral lesions, malignant changes may occur and eventually form substantial cancers.

2. Compression symptoms

Large cysts can compress adjacent organs, such as the bladder, colon, and ureters, and cause corresponding symptoms.

3. Gynecological examination

During a gynecological examination due to infertility, early pregnancy, etc., a cystic mass may be felt on the upper left or right side of the uterus. It is round or oval and movable. Cysts can occur along the broad ligament, beside the uterus, beside the cervix, and even beside the vagina. It is usually unilateral and rarely bilateral. The cyst wall is thin and smooth. In a few cases, there may be papillary hyperplasia in the cavity, which is called benign serous papillary cystadenoma. Some cases may become malignant and even form substantial cancer.

This article introduces the symptoms of ovarian cysts in detail. As a woman with ovarian cysts, you'd better take active and compassionate measures to disperse your ovarian cysts and try to eliminate them to avoid them from becoming cancerous and causing particularly serious consequences.
