Jane: Survey report: Why do people in emerging markets prefer large-screen mobile phones?

From 3.5 inches to 4 inches, and then to the current mainstream 5 inches and 5.5 inches, not only Android phones are evolving towards larger screens, but iPhones are also going to launch larger screens. So why are mobile phone screens getting bigger and bigger? The latest report from market research company Jana should be able to answer this question in some way.

Jana's report results show that the penetration rate of large-screen devices in developing countries is much higher than in developed countries, and people in developing countries often expect the screen size of their next mobile phone to be larger. For example, nearly 1/3 of people in South Africa would choose a mobile phone larger than 5.5 inches, and this proportion in Brazil and Kenya also exceeds 1/4.

For these regions, their spending on smartphones is limited, and it is even their first real tool to access the Internet. Mobile phones are not only used for making calls, but also as game consoles and video players.
