Snapchat's daily active users may reach 150 million, surpassing Twitter

Snapchat, the photo-sharing app that disappears after reading, now has 150 million daily active users, surpassing Twitter , becoming the second largest social software.

Twitter may have fewer than 140 million daily active users, according to Bloomberg, which used average analyst estimates to compare the two.

Bloomberg quoted people familiar with the matter as saying that Snapchat had 110 million daily active users in December last year, and the company's total user base is growing rapidly due to its popularity among young people.

Snapchat did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Twitter declined to comment.

Twitter has 310 million monthly active users, but the company does not disclose daily active users. However, Twitter revealed in the second quarter of last year that in its top 20 markets, about 44% of monthly active users used the service every day.
