According to data from O+K Research, although many users store important information on their tablets or smartphones, they are not very concerned about security, and less than 40% of smartphone users install anti-virus software. The survey shows that the number of malicious programs targeting the Android platform has reached tens of thousands. In addition to viruses, other threats such as Trojans, phishing websites or third-party access to important data can also pose a risk to mobile phone security. Mobile phone users tend to think that mobile phones are relatively more secure. Only 43% of Apple iPhone users said they use security systems, while 53% of Android and Symbian users use security protection solutions. The survey also showed that the most effective protection for mobile devices is to enable anti-virus applications, regardless of the operating system used. However, only 31% of Blackberry phone users, 25% of iPhone users and 20% of users of other platforms are aware of this risk. It is reported that tablet users have a similar understanding of security as mobile phone users, with 31% of users not using security software at all, and are roughly on par with mobile phone users in terms of password protection or data loss prevention. |
