comScore: Instagram website traffic surges 78%

According to market research firm comScore, the number of unique users visiting the photo-sharing app Instagram's website in the United States in April soared 78% year-on-year, becoming the website with the highest growth rate in the month. This achievement is particularly impressive for an application that has all its functions available on the mobile phone and the website is only used as a simple introduction.

Instagram made a lot of big moves in April, which was hard not to notice. On April 3, its much-anticipated Android version was released, and within 24 hours of its release, it was downloaded more than 1 million times.
