Eezeer: Airline Twitter Report January 2012

Cebu Pacific was undisputedly the most popular airline on Twitter in January 2012 (surpassing AirAsia).

The airline's "mentions" on Twitter increased by more than 2,000 in January compared with the previous month, while the number of mentions of AirAsia, the most popular airline on Twitter in December 2011, decreased by 3,500 in January according to Eezeer data.

Entering the top three for the first time, Volaris (a Mexican airline) received 13,000 Twitter mentions in January.

Airlines did not see a month-on-month decline in the frequency of public activity on Twitter. AirAsia posted more than 4,000 messages in January, ahead of Delta and American Airlines.
