Jack Morton: Social network users in Brazil, China and India are more receptive to social word of mouth
As growth in their domestic markets stagnates, global brands and marketers continue to look to emerging markets for revenue growth. But how can they connect with local consumers and seek recognition?

According to a report by global brand experience company Jack Morton Worldwide in October 2011, social media may be one way. In Brazil, China, and India, 31%, 23%, and 27% of social media users, respectively, are willing to use social networking sites as a good source of word-of-mouth information about brand experiences. In the United States, such users only account for 18%.

Market research firm eMarketer predicts that more than half of all social media advertising revenue will come from countries outside the United States in 2012. For more information, stay tuned for eMarketer's upcoming report on global social network usage.
