What is the cause of ovulation bleeding and lower abdominal pain?

Ovulation bleeding refers to bleeding in the middle and late periods, which means bleeding between two normal menstrual periods, and may be accompanied by varying degrees of lower abdominal pain. Just like menstruation, symptoms such as abdominal pain also come with it. However, the amount of blood discharge during ovulation is relatively small, and sometimes it is only brown secretion. Generally speaking, ovulation bleeding can stop on its own within 2-3 days, and up to 7 days. So, what is the reason for bleeding and lower abdominal pain during ovulation?

Ovulation pain is a functional abdominal pain. The pain mostly occurs in the middle of 2 menstrual cycles. For example, for women with a menstrual cycle of 28 days, the pain usually occurs about 14 days before the next menstruation, which is equivalent to the time of ovulation, hence the name. A small number of women will also experience ovulation bleeding. This is because the follicle ruptures and the estrogen level temporarily drops after ovulation, which cannot maintain the normal growth and development of the uterine wall and causes endometrial damage. The bleeding time is generally about two weeks before the next menarche, and can be as short as a few hours or no longer than 2 days. The bleeding is light, mostly white discharge, and the menstrual volume is rarely reached.

What should I do if I have lower abdominal pain and bleeding during ovulation?

Ovulation abdominal pain is a physiological phenomenon that does not affect physical and mental health, nor does it affect future fertility. If it only occurs occasionally and the pain is mild without any other discomfort, you can take a proper rest. However, in order to avoid menstrual pain during menstruation, you can first take Ganjin Yimu Granules for relief.

During the ovulation period, maintain a happy spirit and avoid mental stimulation and mood swings. People in the ovulation period should avoid eating cold, sour, spicy or other irritating foods, and drink more water to maintain smooth bowel movements.
