Is moxibustion effective for vulvar itching?

Vulvar itching is actually a common gynecological inflammation. When a woman is in good health, the vagina has a strong defense against the invasion of bacteria. However, once the natural environment in the vagina changes, it is easy for pathogens to invade, causing a series of gynecological inflammations. Many people like to go to public places such as swimming pools and hot springs. In order to keep these places clean, a lot of chemical materials are used, which can cause great irritation to the skin. Therefore, many women suffer from vulvar itching after coming to these places. So is moxibustion effective in treating vulvar itching?

The key to moxibustion treatment of vulvar itching is based on the three acupoints of Zhongji, Baliao and Huiyin. Among them, Zhongji acupoint governs the diseases caused by the urinary system and urogenital system. Moxibustion on Zhongji acupoint can effectively treat common gynecological diseases such as irregular menstruation and dysmenorrhea. The Bladder Meridian point is actually located in the female pelvis, and this place is equivalent to the main gate of female blood and qi. Moxibustion on the Baliao acupoint has a very good therapeutic effect on the condition of qi and blood stasis, and can also enhance immunity and relieve gynecological inflammation. The perineum point is located in the private part. Moxibustion on this area can also treat hemorrhoids, constipation, abnormal leucorrhea and other diseases, and can regulate our reproductive function.

Therefore, based on moxibustion on these three acupoints, the actual effect of treating vulvar itching is very good. However, if the patient does moxibustion on his own, he needs to pay attention to adjusting the temperature. It is best to be a little hot, but not too hot. If the temperature is low or warm, the therapeutic effect will not be achieved. It is strictly forbidden to take a bath or touch cold water within one hour after moxibustion, because the skin pores are in a state of expansion due to moxibustion. If conditions permit, it is best to perform moxibustion under the guidance of a professional Chinese medicine practitioner to avoid finding the wrong acupoints and failing. Moxibustion requires long-term persistence. There will be no practical effect if you do it for three days and then stop. It should be noted that it is not suitable to perform moxibustion during a girl's menstrual period, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. It is best not to perform moxibustion until after these stages.
