I'm having an itchy moment. What's going on?

Women have their menstruation every month. After each period, they must keep their vulva clean to avoid bacterial infection and gynecological diseases. However, some women will feel itchy during menstruation, which is very distressing. So why does it feel itchy down there during menstruation? Feeling itchy is related to gynecological diseases. It is best to seek medical attention in a timely manner and treat the symptoms without delay.

1. The early symptoms of vulvar cancer also include skin itching. Some people develop vulvar cancer after years of itching.

2. For people suffering from pinworm disease, pinworms often crawl out of the anus and irritate the area around the anus and the vulva, causing itching, especially at night, and even affecting sleep.

3. Some people often use strongly alkaline soaps or solutions to clean the vulva, which causes the vulva skin to become dry, itchy due to lack of oil.

4. Itching symptoms caused by various vulvar skin diseases, such as vulvar eczema, neurodermatitis, atrophic lichen sclerosus, vulvar dermatitis, etc. These diseases can not only cause varying degrees of itching, but also the vulvar skin may have varying degrees of whitening, atrophy or thickening changes.

5. The most common local cause is increased vaginal discharge, especially vaginitis caused by Trichomonas or fungal infection. The large amount of abnormal vaginal discharge irritates the vulva and causes itching.

6. If you use disinfectant to rinse the vulva and vagina, or place certain drugs in the vagina, causing vulvar skin allergies or dermatitis, it can also cause vulvar itching.

7. Vulvar itching during menstruation is related to your clothing. Many female friends are used to wearing tight clothes because it makes them look figure-flattering and beautiful, but this should never be done during menstruation. Because wearing tight clothes during menstruation will cause poor ventilation, if this continues for a long time, vulvar itching will occur.

8. Vulvar itching during menstruation is related to the sanitary napkins you use. Some people buy very cheap sanitary napkins because they want to save money. This is a very bad phenomenon. You must buy very dry sanitary napkins to play a good protective role. If you experience vulvar itching at this time, you must change to a good sanitary napkin.
