At present, the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic is still spreading worldwide, and the Omicron strain has replaced the Delta strain as the main epidemic strain. Since March, the frequency of the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic in my country has increased significantly, the number of infections has increased rapidly, and the scope of spread has continued to expand. The local epidemic is characterized by rapid transmission and strong concealment. There are many points, a wide range, and frequent outbreaks. The epidemic prevention and control situation is severe and complex, and the difficulty of epidemic prevention and control has increased. At the same time, the new version of the national diagnosis and treatment plan has just been announced, and new adjustments have been made to the discharge standards and subsequent isolation management requirements. Please talk about your views on this. What do you think we should do in the face of repeated epidemics?

Most of the recent domestic outbreaks are caused by Omicron virus infection, which spreads quickly and is highly hidden, but has low toxicity. Patients do not have serious symptoms, and most are asymptomatic or mild, and most do not actually require much treatment. The new version of the diagnosis and treatment plan also mentions the centralized isolation management of mild cases, which is not only conducive to reducing the diagnosis and treatment burden and medical costs of medical institutions and medical staff, but also prevents re-transmission, which is conducive to curbing the irrational panic of the society about the virus. However, during the isolation management period, symptomatic treatment and daily disease monitoring should be carried out. Once the condition shows a trend of worsening, it should be transferred to a designated hospital for treatment immediately.

The new version of the diagnosis and treatment plan also adjusted the discharge criteria. In the past, patients had to go to a centralized isolation point for 14 days of isolation management and health monitoring after being discharged from the hospital. Now, according to the new version of the diagnosis and treatment plan, patients only need to continue to do a 7-day home health monitoring after being discharged from the hospital. This fully demonstrates my country's people-oriented humane management model, which takes into account the safety of people's lives and normal social life.

At present, we must thoroughly implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on epidemic prevention and control. We must not relax our awareness of epidemic prevention and control. We must still take effective measures such as wearing masks, disinfection, hand washing, and vaccination to jointly build a barrier of life, health and safety.
