Nutritional value of white shrimp

1. Rich in protein. White shrimp contains 20% protein, which is one of the foods with high protein content, several to dozens of times that of fish, eggs and milk.

What can't be eaten with white shrimp?

1. White shrimp cannot be eaten with fruits rich in vitamin C

White shrimp meat contains high concentrations of pentavalent arsenic compounds, which are harmless to the human body. However, if you take a lot of vitamin C at the same time, pentavalent arsenic will be reduced to trivalent arsenic, that is, arsenic trioxide, commonly known as arsenic trioxide, which can cause acute arsenic poisoning and even life-threatening in severe cases. Therefore, do not eat white shrimp with fruits rich in vitamin C, such as lemons and citrus fruits.

2. White shrimp cannot be eaten with foods that contain a lot of tannic acid

Because white shrimp meat contains high levels of protein, calcium, phosphorus and other nutrients, if eaten with foods high in tannic acid, it will not only reduce the nutritional value of the shrimp meat, but also cause the calcium in it to combine with tannic acid to form a substance that is difficult to digest, leading to symptoms such as vomiting, dizziness, nausea, and abdominal pain. Therefore, tea and foods high in tannic acid such as persimmons, grapes, pomegranates, and hawthorns should not be eaten with shrimp.
