What is the reason for a vertical line on the pregnant woman's belly?

Pregnancy is a very happy thing for every married woman. On the one hand, it means that the couple has created the crystallization of love; on the other hand, it is also a rite of passage for the couple. Therefore, parents watch anxiously throughout the pregnancy, care, and keep an eye on their baby's every move, afraid to miss any moment of the baby's change.

We all know that during pregnancy, a woman's body undergoes many major changes. Not only is he overweight, but his huge belly also attracts attention on the street. In addition, after careful touch, you will find that the changes in the pregnant mother's abdomen include the eversion of the belly button and a black line in the middle of the abdomen. So many mothers will ask, what is that line and does it harm the baby? Why are some straight and some crooked? Which one is better? How can I make it go away? Today, Bangma invited several experienced mothers to share their stories, hoping it will be helpful to everyone.

When I was four months pregnant, I had a crooked black stripe on my belly. It was about 1 cm wide and stretched from my toes to my stomach. It was my first pregnancy and I had no experience. The old people said that the line was related to whether I would have a boy or a girl. When my mother-in-law gave birth to a boy, the line on her belly was very straight, so when she saw the line on my belly, she felt that it was definitely a girl. But when I came out of the delivery room, I realized that this statement had no scientific basis, and all the babies I gave birth to were boys. The doctor who delivered me told me that it was a pregnancy line. In fact, it has always been there, but it was milky white before pregnancy. After pregnancy, the skin turned dark under the effect of growth hormone, and it turned into a black line.

The lines on my abdomen are all crooked, while my best friend's lines are on her legs. At first, I was very worried that it would affect the baby's development, and I always wondered if I had a transverse fetal position. During the prenatal check-up, I took the opportunity to ask the doctor, and the doctor told me that as the baby grows in my belly, my belly will also grow, and stretch marks will appear on my skin, some of which will appear on my legs. It will not affect the baby's development and will gradually disappear after delivery. Everyone's body is different, and the location, thickness, width, and curvature of stretch marks may also be different. This cannot be used as a criterion for determining the correct position of the fetus. If you want to know whether your baby is growing up healthily, your doctor will tell you to ensure a nutritious diet, relax, and have regular prenatal checkups.

When I was in the early stages of my pregnancy, my mother reminded me of the pregnancy line and told me not to worry. Although some older sayings emphasize that if the pregnancy line is thin and shallow on the left, you will have a boy, and if it is thick and deep on the right, you will have a girl, but mine is straighter and darker, so I can't tell the difference. Afterwards, I asked my mother and friends, and they all told me not to think too much about it, and that the symptoms would go away after effective recuperation after giving birth.

Have all the pregnant mothers taken notes of today’s small sharing of knowledge? Although stretch marks are a bit ugly, Bangma does not recommend pregnant mothers to remove them by themselves, because the causes are very complicated. The melanocytes at the location of the stretch marks are relatively active, and excessive hunger and heat may cause the spots to worsen. It is generally not recommended to solve it by yourself.
