Source: China Traditional Chinese Medicine News, National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine Client Author: Guo Xuguang, Shandong Laizhou Chronic Disease Prevention and Treatment Hospital Did you know that if the human body maintains a certain posture for a certain period of time, it can play a role in curing diseases and maintaining health? The supine position can cure hiccups. The supine position has the effect of soothing the stomach, relieving nausea and stopping vomiting, especially for hiccups caused by overeating or excessive exercise after eating. Walking on tiptoes to prevent hemorrhoids Walk about 2,000 meters every morning and evening. When walking, lift your heels and walk on tiptoes. This exercise is beneficial for lifting the anus and tightening the abdomen, and it also makes it difficult for anal venous congestion to form. It can prevent and treat hemorrhoids and rectal prolapse. Turn your head when you have time to relax your whole body. In daily life, whether you are sitting or standing, you can close your eyes whenever you have time. First, raise your head and lean back as far as possible, then lower your head so that your chin is as close to your chest as possible, so that the muscles of your neck and back are tightened and relaxed. Then slowly circle your head, making circular motions, tilting to the left and right sides 10 to 15 times each. Finally, straighten your back and lean against the back of the chair, and hold your hands behind your neck for a while. This can improve blood circulation and relieve stiff neck, neck, shoulder and arm pain, etc. Massaging the knees slows down the aging of the legs and feet. As the saying goes, "The legs age first when people age." Leg aging is first reflected in the knee joints. Regularly massaging the knees can make the blood flow smoothly, which is beneficial for disease prevention and treatment. Middle-aged and elderly people can rub their hands to warm them up every morning and evening, place them on the knee joints, and massage them with their hands, 30 times on each side, until the knees feel slightly warm. You can also put your legs together, bend your knees and half squat, hold your knees with both hands, and gently rotate your knees. Standing on tiptoe is an ancient way of health preservation, which is beneficial to unblocking the three yin meridians of the foot, promoting smooth circulation of qi and blood in the lower limbs and warming the muscles. Stand on tiptoes with both feet together, only touch the ground with the toes, and shake the legs up and down continuously. The continuous contraction and relaxation of the leg muscles can promote blood circulation in the lower limbs. You can also stand on the ground with both feet together, lift the heels hard, and then relax. Do this 20 to 30 times. It is best for people who sit for a long time to do tiptoe exercise once every hour. Kick the calf to remove moisture. Hold a fixed object with one hand, stand on one leg, and use the instep of the other leg to kick the Chengshan point on the calf of the standing leg (the pointed depression on the back of the calf muscle when standing on tiptoes). The intensity of the kicking depends on the individual's tolerance. During the kicking process, you can alternate between speeding up, slowing down, and speeding up, each time for 5 to 10 minutes. Its function is to relieve fatigue and remove moisture from the body. Lying on the right side to relieve abdominal pain: For abdominal pain caused by overeating, emotional fluctuations or gastrointestinal spasm caused by gastroenteritis, you can lie on your right side with your knees slightly bent for 10 to 30 minutes to relieve or eliminate the pain. It is especially effective for functional or neurogenic abdominal pain. Lie flat with your legs against the wall to cure insomnia. Many people suffer from insomnia, have difficulty falling asleep, toss and turn, and yearn for sweet dreams, but good things are hard to come by. Adopting this posture may help you fall asleep. The "lying flat with legs raised against a wall" exercise (similar to a capital "L") helps the body enter a "physical and mental relaxation mode", relieves muscle fatigue, promotes blood circulation, and makes breathing deeper and more stable. Before going to bed every night, you might as well change into comfortable clothes, turn off the TV or computer, and do this exercise. Grip strength is a barometer of health. The stronger the grip, the healthier it is. Modern research also shows that the more flexible the fingers, the less likely the mind is to "rust". Foreign research reports show that grip strength is an effective trait for longevity, and clenching the fist is the easiest way to improve grip strength. Method: Lift your wrist, with your five fingers facing forward and your palm facing downward, then rotate your wrist from front to back and make a fist. There are two key points to making a fist: one is to rotate your wrist, and the other is to press the Laogong acupoint with your middle finger. We can practice making a fist while walking. Pay attention to moving your wrist first, then press the Laogong acupoint with your fist for 3 to 4 seconds, and repeat the action. You can practice tapping your toes while sitting on a chair or sofa, or lying on your back in bed. Stretch your legs forward, keep your upper body as straight as possible, and tap the first and second toes of your feet repeatedly. Practice once in the morning and evening, and tap 99 times each time. Long-term persistence can not only stimulate the meridians of the feet, but also exercise the muscles and bones of the legs and waist, stimulate and promote the circulation of qi and blood in the meridians throughout the body, thereby delaying aging, preventing diseases and prolonging life. Raise your hands to relieve leg numbness. When people sit for a long time, their legs and feet will feel numb. In this case, you should change your posture immediately and walk quickly in a small area for a few minutes. If you feel numbness in your left leg, raise your right hand for 10 seconds, then put it down, repeat 3 times. If your right leg is numb, raise your left hand, and the numbness can be relieved. In addition, changing your walking posture, such as walking with your feet turned inside out, can balance the force on different muscles and reduce the feeling of numbness. Rubbing and applying hot compresses to the numb areas can also eliminate numbness. Shaking your feet to improve blood circulation. Poor blood circulation in the whole body will cause visceral dysfunction, such as headache, loss of appetite, etc. You can lie on your back on the bed and exercise your feet in the air like riding a bicycle. As long as you continue for 5 to 6 minutes, the blood circulation in the whole body will be improved. This method can also stretch the muscles in the calves and inner knees, completely eliminating leg fatigue. |
