In this issue, Xiao H will talk about how we need to check if there is any problem with our endometrium. Let’s take a look~ We can check the condition of our endometrium through hysteroscopy. With hysteroscopy, we can first visually see the situation inside the uterus, and then we can scrape the endometrium for pathological examination. The test results can be simply described as good or bad: good results are those without atypical hyperplasia, that is, simple hyperplasia; bad results are precancerous lesions of the endometrium: atypical hyperplasia. Atypical hyperplasia may further develop into endometrial cancer. If the pathological results indicate simple hyperplasia, then of course there is no problem. If the diagnosis is endometrial cancer, everyone knows the treatment options: surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. If the pathological result is atypical hyperplasia, does that mean it is cancer? Of course not! Otherwise, what is the point of distinguishing between precancerous lesions and cancer? Precancerous lesions may further develop into cancer, that is to say, they may not progress and always remain in the state of precancerous lesions, or even take a step back and turn into benign lesions. So what we have to do is - give it a push! If we can't make it benign, at least we can't make it possible for it to become cancer. For young women who want to have children, we prefer drugs to reverse endometrial lesions. For women who don't want to have children or are older, they can also have surgery and choose to remove the uterus. Without the endometrium, it is unlikely to develop into endometrial cancer. Therefore, if the examination finds thickening of the endometrium, even if it does not cause pain or itching, you should actively check and treat it. After all, cancer will not cause pain or itching in the early stages. By the time symptoms appear, the cancer has already reached the middle or late stages!
