How can they spend the National Day happily and healthily?

1. Diabetics should be careful about what they eat during the holidays and be wary of "sugar-free foods"

During the National Day, eating is a must. For diabetics, they are very particular about food. There are all kinds of cakes on the market, but no matter which one, they are high in fat, calories, and starch. The starch in cakes can be quickly converted into glucose after consumption, which also leads to increased blood sugar, so diabetics should eat less. Even so-called sugar-free cakes, although they are foods without sucrose, most of them use sweeteners instead of sucrose, so diabetics still cannot eat them casually.
2. Diabetics should eat less crabs during the holidays

It is said that "no crab is not a festival", and crab is a "classic food" in autumn, so how can it be missing! However, it is better for diabetics to eat less crab, because crab is a high-cholesterol food and crab is cold in nature, so it is not suitable for diabetics to eat.

In addition, crabs like to eat small creatures, aquatic plants and rotten animals. Their body surface, gills and gastrointestinal tract are covered with bacteria, viruses and other pathogenic microorganisms. They must be cooked carefully and must be boiled or steamed at high temperature before eating.
3. Diabetic patients should have a balanced diet during the holidays and make reasonable combinations

Diet should be reasonable and food should be diversified. Diabetics should pay attention to the careful combination of meat and vegetables when eating, which can not only ensure the taste but also absorb rich nutrients. It is recommended that diabetics eat more green vegetables and whole grains. Whole grains and beans can be used to make various snacks and porridge, which can not only provide rich dietary fiber, but also delay the rise of blood sugar.

In addition, cooking methods such as steaming, boiling, stewing, blanching, and mixing are more common, as the meals made in this way are lighter and more suitable for diabetic patients. However, dishes with words such as braising, frying, dry-pot, stir-frying, and crispy often use a lot of oil, so it is better for diabetic patients to eat less or not eat them to avoid exceeding the total energy standard.
4. Diabetics should drink in moderation during the holidays and not drink too much

Diabetic patients should not drink alcohol. It is best to replace alcohol with tea. If you can't refuse, you should drink less. Women should not drink more than 15 grams of alcohol a day, and men should not drink more than 25 grams (15 grams of alcohol is equivalent to 450 milliliters of beer, 150 milliliters of wine, and 50 milliliters of low-alcohol liquor), and they should not drink more than twice a week.

In addition, diabetics should remember not to drink on an empty stomach. If diabetics do not drink, they should also choose healthy drinks, such as boiled water, green tea, black tea, soy milk and other healthy drinks. 5. It is not advisable for diabetics to increase the dosage of medicine after eating too much during the holidays.

During the festival, the food is rich and delicious, and people often can't stop eating. Many diabetic patients will increase the amount of hypoglycemic drugs to avoid blood sugar rise after eating too much, which is not advisable. Taking more medicine will not only fail to achieve the desired effect, but also increase the side effects.
