What are seasonal skin allergies? What should I pay attention to?

The change of seasons is supposed to be a happy thing, but it always adds a bit of worry to countless beauty-loving ladies because they face big problems like seasonal skin allergies.

Medically speaking, skin allergy mainly refers to when the skin is exposed to various stimuli, such as adverse reactions to cosmetics, chemicals, pollen, certain foods, polluted air, etc., which lead to abnormal phenomena such as redness, swelling, itching, and peeling of the skin.

According to an article titled "Guidelines for Medication for Seasonal Skin Allergies" published by the Shijiazhuang 32152 Army Health Team, seasonal skin allergies are mainly divided into four types.

① Dry seasonal skin allergy. No matter what season it is, the skin is always dry and rough, feels slightly stinging, itchy, and sometimes red and swollen. People with these symptoms have dry skin allergies. The cause of skin allergies is dry skin, which leads to a decrease in defense function.

②Oily seasonal skin allergy. People with this type of skin are prone to acne and small particles on their faces, which can become red, swollen, and inflamed. Even dry areas such as the cheeks can cause acne. The cause of this type of skin allergy is the reduction of the skin's protective function caused by excess sebum and insufficient moisture.

③Stress-induced seasonal skin allergies. Generally speaking, when the seasons change and before menstruation, as long as there is insufficient sleep or stress, people with this kind of skin allergies will have dry skin. This is due to endocrine disorders caused by various external stimuli or hormonal imbalances.

④Permanent seasonal skin allergies. This allergy is caused by an allergic reaction to specific irritants, such as sunlight.

Once these skin allergies occur, in addition to drug treatment, you can also regulate your diet. For example, you must not eat some foods that you cannot eat, such as taro, leeks, shells, spicy foods, alcohol, etc. Try not to eat hot or grilled foods. Eat more vegetables and fruits, which is good for the skin.

Of course, in addition to treatment, prevention of seasonal skin allergies is also a top priority.

When the weather is warm, the skin is more oily, so the cleansing products you choose are usually more effective in removing fat. However, if you follow this skin care method in winter, it is easy to remove too much sebum, which will reduce the protective power and cause dryness and sensitivity. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to strengthen moisturizing in winter skin care.

If your skin is accidentally allergic, you must pay attention to skin repair. If you want to improve your skin problems, you must recognize your skin problems. If seasonal skin problems are not caused by allergies, but because the protective power of the sebaceous glands is reduced, coupled with the large temperature difference between day and night, the stimulation of sunlight and dust, the skin becomes easily sensitive. At this time, you must seriously strengthen the skin's resistance to make the skin healthier.

For damaged sensitive skin, simply replenishing water is not enough, because it reacts greatly to changes in the external environment. Therefore, in addition to replenishing water, other sensitive factors that affect the skin must be addressed. For example, you can choose skin care products with calming, soothing, and repairing ingredients (aloe vera, oatmeal, licorice, chamomile) to improve the condition of inflamed and damaged skin. Only when the skin sensitive factors disappear can the loss of skin moisture be avoided and the problem of redness, dryness, and itching of the skin be solved.

Although skin allergies are extremely painful when seasons change, the probability of skin allergies can be greatly reduced as long as we take proper care of the skin.
