These include children's sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hats, swimsuits, sun-protective clothing, toy cars and diapers.

We purchased 94 batches of goods through flagship stores and other official online channels, involving 87 brands and covering 12 countries and regions. The results of this special inspection are as follows:

The specific sampled products and test results can be searched on the quality assurance platform website or in the "Smart Query Product Inspection Report" of the "Cross-border Quality Assurance Mini Program".

1. Children's sunscreen: Children are in the growth and development period, their stratum corneum is relatively thin, the skin barrier function is not yet perfect, and they are more sensitive to external stimuli. They should choose gentler and less irritating skin care products, and the same applies to sunscreen.

A total of 20 batches of children's sunscreen skin care products, including sunscreen creams and sunscreen sprays, were sampled. The samples involved 19 brands from 7 countries of origin, and the test items for each sunscreen covered 42 items in categories such as microorganisms, heavy metals, sunscreen agents, banned ingredients, and preservatives.

The good news is that no quality and safety risks were found in any indicators of the samples sampled this time, so parents can rest assured.

2. Children's sunglasses. Summer is not here yet, but there are many messages in the background asking for children's sunglasses. We will arrange it this time!

A total of 19 batches of children's sunglasses were sampled, involving 17 brands from 8 countries and regions of origin.

The test items for each pair of sunglasses cover 16 items in categories such as migration of specific elements, plasticizers, transmission characteristics, etc. No quality and safety risks were found in the various indicators of the samples sampled this time.

3. Children's sun hats: Some children have sensitive skin or do not like to apply sunscreen, so parents can only start with "hard sunscreen".

A total of 10 batches of children's sun hats were sampled, involving 10 brands from 7 countries and regions of origin.

The testing items for each sun hat cover 37 items including fiber content, color fastness, pH value, UV protection, banned ingredients, safety indicators, etc. No quality and safety risks were found in any indicators of the samples randomly inspected this time.

4. Children's Swimwear Summer is here, and the happy water-playing season is here again!

A total of 11 batches of children's swimwear were sampled this time, including swimsuits, swimming trunks, surfing suits, swimming caps, etc., involving 11 brands and coming from 7 countries and regions of origin.

The testing items for each swimsuit cover 48 items including fiber content, color fastness, pH value, banned ingredients, safety indicators, etc.

There are three aspects of quality and safety risk issues found in this random inspection:

1. Durable labels are in direct contact with infants’ skin and are prone to scratching, which does not meet the requirements;

2. The pH value exceeds the standard, which may easily cause skin allergies in children;

3. The fiber content does not match the label.

5. Children's sun-protective clothing: As summer vacation is approaching, it's time for children to start having fun. No matter how hot it is outside, they are always eager to go out and will not return home until they are sweating profusely.

In less than a week, I not only got darker, but I also suffered from sunburn, sunburn, and peeling. My parents felt sorry for me, so they started buying me sun-protective clothing.

A total of 9 batches of children's sun-protective clothing were sampled this time, involving 9 brands from 5 countries and regions of origin. The testing items for each sun-protective clothing covered 41 items including fiber content, UV protection, color fastness, harmful ingredients, safety indicators, etc.

The quality and safety risk discovered in this random inspection is that the durable labels are in direct contact with the skin of infants and young children, which can easily scratch their skin and does not meet the requirements.

6. Children's toy cars A total of 10 batches of children's toy cars were sampled, involving 9 brands from 2 countries of origin.

The testing items for each scooter cover 60 items including mechanical and physical properties, flammability, toy labeling, migration of specific elements, plasticizers, etc.

The quality and safety risk issues found in this random inspection mainly include six aspects:

1. The roll stability does not meet the requirements and is prone to tipping over during use;

2. The secondary locking device fails or does not meet the requirements when it acts alone;

3. The size of holes and gaps between components do not meet the requirements, which may cause the risk of injury;

4. The diameter of the handle end is smaller than the requirement, which may cause personal injury in case of tipping over;

5. The plasticizer content in the car body stickers exceeds the standard. Plasticizers have chronic reproductive toxicity, which is particularly serious for children;

6. The packaging film thickness and punching area do not meet the requirements.

A total of 15 batches of children's diapers were sampled, involving 12 brands from 4 countries of origin.

The testing items for each diaper cover 12 items including permeability performance, length and width, strip deviation value, pH value, moisture, appearance, etc. The quality and safety risk found in this random inspection is that the slippage amount does not meet the requirements.

The slippage rate reflects the product's absorption rate and capacity for urine. If this indicator is unqualified, it means that the product cannot effectively absorb urine, causing urine to flow out from the edge of the diaper, soaking the local skin and damaging the baby's skin.

In general, the results of this special random inspection of children's products are relatively good, but some details cannot be ignored and deserve everyone's attention.
