The patient's blood pressure and blood lipids are high. Nifedipine controlled-release tablets and statins can stabilize the patient's blood pressure, regulate blood lipids, protect blood vessels, and reduce the risk of carotid stenosis. At this time, the lifestyle has limited therapeutic effect on the disease, and it cannot lower blood pressure and regulate blood lipids in time. What's more, the patient's dietary principles are still wrong.

A healthy diet means low salt, low oil, and low fat, and eating more vegetables, fruits, and whole grains, and a balanced diet. Not eating pickles and pickled meat does reduce salt intake, but eating more staple foods will increase carbohydrate intake. Carbohydrates are absorbed in the body in the form of sugar, and more sugar will increase the cholesterol content in the body. Cholesterol is the raw material of plaques. The more cholesterol, the longer and larger the plaques, and the more severe the carotid stenosis.

Saving small money will cost big money, but you can't save money on medical treatment. It is recommended that patients follow the doctor's advice, take medicine on time, adhere to the correct dietary principles in daily life, eat more vegetables, fruits and whole grains, eat fish once or twice a week, and eat less or no bacon, sausage and other foods.
