What's wrong with a little bleeding in the second month of pregnancy?

During pregnancy, unless there are some exceptions, most pregnant women will stop menstruating. But there are cases where pregnant women continue to have vaginal bleeding in the second month of pregnancy. What is the reason? What are the common problems in the second month of pregnancy? How can we prevent vaginal bleeding during pregnancy? Are there any tests during the period that can detect whether there will be vaginal bleeding?

What is the cause of bleeding in the second month of pregnancy?

If you experience spotting in the second month of pregnancy, you must seek medical attention immediately, because there are many reasons for spotting in the early stages of pregnancy. Pregnancy 2 months of pregnancy may be caused by the following reasons:

1. Miscarriage

There are many reasons for miscarriage, the main one being genetic defects that prevent test tube embryos from growing and developing normally. Excessive exposure to harmful chemicals during pregnancy, such as arsenic, benzene, indoor formaldehyde, and butylene oxide, can cause miscarriage. The mother's systemic diseases, reproductive organ malformations or tumors, endocrine imbalances, etc. can also cause miscarriage. The specific manifestations of miscarriage are vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain in early pregnancy. Generally, during the threatened abortion stage, vaginal bleeding is less and abdominal pain is mild. As long as there is no abnormality in the development of the embryo, the bleeding will stop after tocolysis treatment and you will be able to become pregnant again. If the bleeding exceeds the menstrual period and is accompanied by severe abdominal pain, the possibility of miscarriage will increase. It is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment in time.

2. Ectopic pregnancy

An ectopic pregnancy is also called an ectopic pregnancy. It means that the sperm and egg cannot combine to enter the uterus normally, and the embryo implants in other parts of the uterus, commonly including the fallopian tubes, uterine cornu, abdomen or uterus and ovaries. In layman's terms, the sperm and egg combine and stay outside the uterus for development. The walls of this area are thin and narrow, and when the sperm and egg combine and grow slowly, they will cross the wall of the tube, destroy the blood vessels and cause internal bleeding.

When an ectopic pregnancy occurs, vaginal bleeding usually occurs more than one month after the menstruation stops, often accompanied by dull pain, distension, and heaviness in the lower abdomen. At this time, the urine HCG pregnancy test may be positive, and B-ultrasound examination of the uterine cavity will not show any pregnant gestational sac, and abnormal lumps may usually be found in the location of the fallopian tubes on both sides. When it grows to a certain size, the tissue around the embryo implantation will be destroyed and bleeding will occur. If the ectopic pregnancy has ruptured, it may cause tearing pain in one side of the lower abdomen, accompanied by dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and in severe cases, it may seriously endanger the life of the pregnant woman.

3. Hydatidiform mole

Hydatidiform mole is a type of malformed pregnancy. In the early stages of embryonic development, the pregnant woman's embryonic trophoblasts proliferate abnormally and transform into small blisters that connect into clusters. The appearance looks a bit like a grape, so it is called hydatidiform mole. Vaginal bleeding in hydatidiform mole occurs later than in miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy, usually around three months. The bleeding is less at first, then gradually increases, and even repeated heavy bleeding occurs. At this time, small blister-like tissue can be seen in the blood. The uterine growth rate of patients with hydatidiform mole generally exceeds the relative number of days of pregnancy. If such abnormal phenomena occur after pregnancy, you should go to the hospital outpatient clinic for medical treatment immediately.
