What to pay attention to when planting freesia

1. When planting freesia bulbs, choose loose and fertile soil. You can use one part peat soil and one part peat soil, add a small amount of large-grained perlite and coconut shell. The ratio is 50:30:10:10. After planting, place it in a warm place.

2. Freesia requires sufficient fertilizer and water during the growing period. Use aqueous fertilizer once every two weeks. The potting soil should be moistened when dry. The potting soil should not be waterlogged or too dry.

3. After the freesia enters the flowering period, control the watering to extend the flowering period. Water less after flowering. When the leaves wither and turn yellow in May next year, stop watering to help the bulbs mature.

How to care for freesia after planting

After planting, the soil should be kept slightly moist, which is conducive to the germination of freesia, but the pot soil should not be too wet, otherwise it will easily rot. Generally, it will germinate in 15-20 days. After germination, keep the temperature at 10-18℃. Freesia likes fertilizer and needs to maintain sufficient nutrients during the growth period. Freesia is not tolerant to water and humidity, so do not water it too much.
