What is the solution for a diesel car that is frozen? How to prevent diesel from freezing?

Diesel is also a fuel used in many motor vehicles, such as large vehicles, ships, railways, locomotives and tractors. Diesel is very easy to wax below zero degrees and has poor fluidity. This is what we call diesel freezing. So is there any good solution?

What is the solution for a diesel car that is frozen?

First, park the car in a garage or a place away from the wind. Pay attention to this. Try to start the car in the same place for a while after starting it in the morning. Let the oil flowing back to the fuel tank from the engine return pipe heat the fuel tank to prevent it from freezing while driving.

Secondly, many experienced drivers can add gasoline to the fuel tank, usually 3L gasoline/100L diesel, or add alcohol. This method may have an impact on the fuel nozzle of the National Five vehicle (not confirmed).

Third, you can add anticoagulant to the fuel tank. This method is currently the most common in the south. The anticoagulant must be added according to the proportion in the instructions. And it must be added before the fuel tank is waxed. That is to say, the anticoagulant must be added before refueling so that it is evenly distributed in the fuel tank, otherwise it will be ineffective.

How to prevent diesel from freezing

There are only three solutions: minus diesel, heating rod and indoor parking.

Diesel is divided into 6 grades. The difference between these grades is the freezing point, which is different from gasoline. The ranges are roughly as follows: No. 5 diesel is suitable for above 8°C; No. 0 diesel is suitable for 4~8°C; No. -10 diesel is -5~4°C; No. -20 diesel is -5~-14°C; No. -35 diesel is -29~-14°C.

The larger the negative value of diesel, the lower the freezing point but the higher the price. However, if it is a diesel-powered family car, it is recommended to directly add negative diesel, because the physical method of preventing melting is not suitable for ordinary household use.

Heating diesel with a heating rod has a great impact on the battery. Using a heating rod will quickly consume the battery capacity, and the car battery is a lead-acid battery, the normal service life is only about 300 times on average. In winter, high-frequency discharge and charging will cause rapid damage to the battery. The cost of replacing a set of batteries is higher than directly adding negative diesel to a household diesel car.

Moreover, only a part of the diesel melts after heating. If the diesel melts not fast enough after starting, it will affect the oil pressure. At the same time, the effect of the heating rod is not very ideal in extremely cold areas. The natural cooling of the cold wind during driving may freeze the melted diesel. If the vehicle breaks down due to the inability to absorb oil during driving, the potential risk is even greater. This situation often occurs in northern regions.

Therefore, for household diesel vehicles, it is recommended to add negative diesel for safety. If the temperature is not too low, the vehicle can be parked in an underground parking lot or indoor parking lot. The higher indoor temperature will not cause starting difficulties.

What are the disadvantages of diesel cars?

There is a lot of noise and vibration. If used in low-temperature areas, you also need to pay attention to the label according to the season to prevent poor pumping performance. Compared with gasoline vehicles, diesel vehicles have higher emissions.

However, today's diesel vehicles are no longer based on the traditional compression ignition principle. Like gasoline vehicles, they have spark plugs to ignite. In addition, the high-pressure injection pump of gasoline direct injection engines is also a technology transplanted from the high-pressure common rail of diesel vehicles.
