Invasive breast cancer grades

Invasive breast cancer grades

Invasive breast cancer is a key type of breast cancer. It is also a serious condition. So, how many grades are there for invasive breast cancer? The conditions of patients at different stages are also different, so after understanding these, we can treat them in a targeted manner. Let's take a look.

Breast cancer can be roughly divided into invasive breast cancer and non-invasive breast cancer. The so-called invasiveness of tumor cells is that the changes in the morphological characteristics of tumor cells make it easy for them to disperse and migrate to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph, adhere and multiply in the new location, forming secondary coil tumors to erode normal tissues. The invasiveness of breast cancer means that the tumor cells have broken through the basement membrane of the mammary gland tube or lobular alveoli and infiltrated into the interstitial space.

Invasive breast cancer is divided into the following stages:

Stage I: Invasive breast cancer at this stage is mainly characterized by T1N0M0. This stage is generally considered the early stage of breast cancer. The size of the initial tumor is T1, which is less than or equal to 2 cm. There were no lymph nodes or metastasis. Therefore, breast cancer at this stage is easiest to cure. The five-year survival rate after recovery is also very high.

Stage II: Breast cancer at this stage may have two sub-stages: IIA and IIB. In ⅡA, if the breast cancer patient has not metastasized, the lymph nodes do not exceed the range of axillary movement, and the size of the tumor is less than 5 cm; breast cancer is also called stage ⅡB when the lump is larger than 5 cm without metastasis.

Stage III: The characteristic of stage III is that when the tumor has not migrated, the lymph nodes have migrated or increased in number, regardless of the size of the tumor. The most common treatment method at this stage is combined treatment, so the cure rate of breast cancer will be higher.

Stage IV: With the onset of stage IV, the only criterion for distinguishing between the size of the lump and the number of lymph nodes is whether it has migrated. When migration occurs, it must be the presence of stage IV breast cancer. This is what we often call late-stage breast cancer.

From the above, we can see that in the late stage, migration will occur. If not treated in time, it will affect life. Therefore, we hope to deal with it appropriately, actively treat it, and never give up.
