A faint watermark on the pregnancy test paper

The instructions for use may give a detailed introduction to the results of the pregnancy test strips, but there may be no description of the picture watermark! So, does the milky white picture watermark on the pregnancy test strip indicate pregnancy? How to prevent errors in the results?

Do not blindly follow the trend to make a diagnosis, because there is the influence of hormonal drugs. It is best to go to the hospital's gynecology department for a blood test before making a diagnosis. Due to environmental and nutritional factors, the test strip will usually show a positive result. It is recommended that you go to the hospital for a blood HCG test 10 days after intercourse to confirm whether you are pregnant.

1. Inspection time. HCG usually appears in the urine a few days after the embryo implants, and it must reach a certain amount to be detected. Therefore, for women with normal menstruation, HCG can only be detected in the urine after the menstruation is delayed. Women with long menstrual cycles or abnormal ovulation can only be tested after 40-44 days of amenorrhea.

2. Diluent in urine. Drinking too much water may dilute the urine and cause a false negative result.

3. Conducting experiments in the morning and at night may have a certain impact on the results. The highest HCG value is usually found in the urine in the morning, so many instructions recommend testing it when you wake up in the morning, but this is not certain.

4. During the test, pay attention to the length of urine that penetrates the test paper. Sometimes the length of time that urine soaks into the test strip is too long to make the test result indistinguishable.

5. To obtain appropriate results, it is best to do the early pregnancy test when your period is delayed for two weeks. If the test result is negative and menstruation still occurs after 1 week, you should do it again. The test results are indicative in the case of a recent pregnancy, because HCG can continue to be positive for a long time after the termination of pregnancy (after childbirth, miscarriage and abortion). Some medical conditions and medications may cause the test result to be positive, such as blood in the urine or taking some fertility medications. Some tumor cells, such as hydatidiform mole, choriocarcinoma, bronchial carcinoma and renal cancer, can also promote the secretion of HCG in the body.
